What is a housegroup?
As the name suggests, a house group is a small group of people who have gathered together, possibly in someone’s home although not necessarily, in order to study the Bible, pray and build community. Different churches and traditions call them by a variety of names – small groups, cell groups, fellowship groups, Bible study groups, house groups, clusters.
Sadie’s House Group
House group meets every Thursday morning in term times from 10 until around noon. We start each gathering with a cuppa and then progress to a time of worship and sharing answers to prayer or examples of God at work in our lives. We then study the Bible in an unhurried manner, having lots of time for discussion and sharing of hearts.

We also aim to have lunch together or do something socially once a term and often work as a team towards bigger church events.

Sarah & Graham’s Housegroup

We are a small group which meets on a Monday evening once a fortnight from 7.30-9.30.We begin with a catch up over a cuppa as people arrive, before moving into a time of worship.Afterwards we spend some time looking at what the Bible says, either about a particular topic or looking at a character or book which often leads on to some interesting and open discussions. We usually finish with a time of prayer, listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying for one another and praying for any particular needs that are on our hearts.
